Board Openings, Nominations and Elections.

Per the bylaws of the IOW Country Club, dba IOW Community Club, the board of directors is made up of 7 members. The 7 members are nominated by the membership, as board positions come up for re-election. They are vetted by the current board and then presented to the membership. At the first annual meeting of the new year a vote occurs with all membership present or by proxy. Votes are tallied and announced at that membership meeting. Once all 7 board positions have been filled, the new board will then work as a team to determine which elected board members will fill each of the roles: President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary and 3 voting Members at Large.

2025 Board Nominations

We have 5 open Board Positions for 2025. The following members have expressed their desire for re-election:

  • Cassie Omohundro

    • The Board is accepting nominations. If you are interested, please submit your nominations through the club website by going to https://iowcountryclub.com/board-openings-nominations-and-elections/, or use the print option at the bottom of the form; if you would like to drop off at the club’s locked mailbox.

    Nominations will be accepted through Friday, January 3rd. The Board will meet before end of day January 17th to discuss any nominations received and will then notify the membership of the finalized slate. Voting will take place during the membership meeting on January 21st. If you are unable to attend, you may cast your vote via a proxy ballot. Proxy ballots and instructions will be provided at the same time the slate of nominees are announced via email and website.

    Please mark your calendars for our Annual Club Meeting Tuesday, January 21st at 6:30pm. We will have our covered dish dinner followed by the meeting. It is during this meeting that we will vote on the available positions to the Board

    All Nominees must be current members at the time of the election at our January 21st, 2024 membership meeting.

    We will provide an anonymous ballot at the January 21st Membership meeting for voting purposes. The votes will be tallied and announced at our January 21st, 2024 membership meeting.
